Father's Day 2009

Constance got this poem from her Primary Teacher and gave it to Mike (her daddy).
Walk a Little Slower
"Walk a little slower, Daddy,"
said a little child so small
"I'm following in your footsteps
and I don't want to fall."
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see:
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
for I must follow you.
I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. He is a great dad and gives so much of himself. Nothing could be better then having my two little boys follow in his footsteps.
I am also grateful for my dad and for all he has done and continues to do for us. I am so grateful to all the men in my life, from my brothers and their life-long examples and love to my father-in-law and brothers-in-law for their love and support. I hope everyone has a Happy Father's Day!
