Stuck No More

I knew it couldn't last forever ... but a little more time would have been nice ... guess it wasn't meant to be. My little man can now escape ... He has been practicing a lot between his crib and his brother's crib. He climbs in and out a lot. Of course, Dominic doesn't seem to mind too much. He enjoys having his brother climb in to play with him. I am just a bit nervous of Jordan trying to help Dominic get out of bed and the implications there. This should be interesting to see how nap time goes.

Sitting up

Dominic has decided it is now time for him to sit up all by himself. He has been doing it for a while ... thankfully his bottom is getting a little flatter. Of course, it doesn't always help when Jordan decides he will test his stability and pushes him over. Poor little guy has at least one bruise on his little head at all times. This also makes it fun when we are trying to get him to take a nap and he keeps sitting up.

My little Monkey

Constance has made a discovery ... she can climb the wall. Of course, she had to do it over and over and over and over. ... Jordan had to try too. He wasn't as successful though. I keep thinking of the wonderful things my little ones are being taught ... Heaven Help Me!

Holes

Jordan has made a new discovery. He can put a ball down his shirt and it will come out the bottom. So of course, the next thing to try is putting the ball down his pants ... yep, it came out the bottom too. He was pretty excited. It is really fun when we get him out of the high chair and discover all the food he has decided to put down his shirt during the meal. It manages to find it's way out too.

Piano

Constance has started piano lessons. She is really excited about it. One of my former Young Women is teaching her. Of course, Jordan likes to practice piano at the same time, which doesn't work out too well. It is fun!

Swedish rocker

Jordan has discovered the Swedish rocker at my parents house ... he still isn't sure what he thinks about it. It is not your typical rocking chair. My father made it years ago. When I was little I would pull it all the way back and climb in through the top and then rock myself to sleep ...

I had to sit in it with Jordan ... he didn't know what to think. When he got out and I continued to rock ... he was really surprised. The expression on his little face just made me laugh. I didn't rock all the way back ... I only went half way, but he still couldn't see me and it caught him off guard. After watching me by myself, he was happier just rocking it and not sitting in it.

I will get a picture and post it ...

Stuck

The other day I was doing something in the kitchen when I heard "mommy" ... "mommy" ... "mommy". I decided I needed to see what Jordan was up to so I went to his room and discovered Jordan in Dominic's crib. He had managed to climb in but he wasn't too sure how to get back out. That is where I was supposed to come in. I just had to laugh. He has climbed out of his crib before ... for whatever reason he "can't" climb out of Dominic's crib.

He has done this several times ... I told Mike the next time when I heard "Dada ... Dada ... Dada ..." it was Jordan in Dominic's crib and he was stuck. Sure enough, I was right.

Shadows

Jordan has discovered his shadow.

The boys and I were headed out to get in the van ... the next thing I know Jordan stops at the end of the sidewalk and says "ook mommy". He was squatting down and pointing to his shadow. He stood up and started walking and looking over his shoulder ... yep, sure enough it was still there ... The next thing I know he is running while looking over his shoulder. I had to get him to stop before he ran into the van. It was the funniest thing.

Again, no camera.
