I have my moments when people might wonder about my hair color. It is either that or I can even claim "mommy brain". I just have to laugh --
Mike was at work and I had the kids all tucked in. I remembered I needed to go shut the water off -- I had been watering the garden. When I was coming back in and opened the storm door the main door closed all the way and it was locked. I had left my cell phone in the house as well as my keys. I tried knocking on Constance's bedroom window with the hopes she was still awake -- no luck. I didn't continue for very long because I was worried someone would drive by and think I was trying to break into my own house. My neighbors on either side of our house weren't home. I finally walked across the street to Kathy's house and knocked on her door. I asked if I could use her phone to call Mike so he could come home and let me in. What can I say?
It was a beautiful day and we decided to take the kids and their bikes to the school parking lot to let them ride. I went and picked up a pizza so we could also have a picnic and met Mike and the kids there. It was a fun afternoon. At one point I had set my cell phone down on the tailgate of his truck, not a problem. Later as we were getting ready to leave, we had the kids loaded in the van and I was talking on my phone with my sister and was about ready to pull out. The thought came that I needed to go and get my cell phone off of Mike's tailgate. So I jumped out, still talking to my sister on my phone and went to the back of Mike's truck. Guess what, my cell phone wasn't there. I busted up laughing as I told my sister what I just did.
