A muddy mess

This is what happens  when you spend the morning making mudpies ... Needless to say I had to put him in the bath before we went to pick up the others from school.

A little help

I accidentally knocked a box of cereal over and it went all over the floor.  Nic immediately went and grabbed the vacuum - and I thought "how sweet-he's going to help me without me even asking". 

Uh ... Nope!  He said here you go mommy and then sat down and watched me making sure I didn't miss any.

And they really wonder why?

One day after the boys came in from playing outside, I told them they had to take a bath.  They looked at me and asked why.  Really??  This is what the bath water looked like afterwards ... And Jordan asked "why's the water brown"?

First 5k

Constance's cousin, Wiley, called and asked if Constance would like to run a mile with him.  Constance said sure.  Not too much later we got another call telling us he actually had to do the 5k (just over 3 miles) and asked if she wanted to change too or stick with a mile.  I told her how long a 5k was and she assured me she wanted to do it.  I was proud of her  for completing it especially since she hadn't trained at all.  Mike ran with her for the last little bit - we didn't realize we could have run it too or one of us would have done it with her.

It's all fun and games ...

The boys discovered a new toy ... A cooler ... Amazingly they could fold themselves up small enough that they could close the lid too.  Then they would talk to each other thru the drain.   Everything went well until they couldn't open the lid because one of the boys was sitting on the lid.  At least they would get off as soon as they were asked.
