Some soap

I never quite know what I am going to find with my boys.  They were playing in the tub and when I checked on them I found Dominic with his shampoo Mohawk.  This was the same day they ended up emptying a bottle is soap in the tub -- talk about some serious bubbles.

Fall Creek Falls 2015

We took a day that mike had off and took the kids to hike at Fall Creek Falls.  It was a fun day and they did so well.

Nic wasn't impressed with the overlook -- he wanted to go and hike.

The kids loved the bridge.  I was a little worried about Jordan because of his issues with height and them add the bridge that kind of swings too.  He did great though.

The biggest problem was trying to keep the boys from getting to far ahead of us.

One of the favorites spots -- it is about 50-55 degrees in this little corner.  Nice way to cools off.

We hiked all the way to the bottom and back which was a total of 3-4 miles round trip.  Going back up the hill wasn't as much fun to them -- ESP Constance.

It was a beautiful hike.  The weather was actually perfect for hiking.  Since it was still spring it wasn't really hot yet.

We really enjoyed our day together.  

A Haircut

I went to help Mike mow.  I left the kids home with Constance babysitting.  When  I got home it took me a little bit but I finally noticed Nic's hair.  Down the middle was A LOT shorter then the sides.

I asked him what happened.  Silence.  I asked him if he cut his hair.  He hid his little face and nodded.  I told home I was going to have to shave his head to fix it.  He asked if I had to do his whole head.  I told him yes.  As I went to get the clippers I happened to look in their bathroom and found where he had cut his hair.

He tried to clean it all up -- I found this in the trash and then found strands in the tub, sink and on the floor.

I used the largest guard I could get away with and cut his hair.  I asked him kindly to please not cut his hair again.

I figure we haven't done too bad -- 3 kids and nobody gives themselves a haircut until the youngest does it and he does it at age 6.  Bless his little heart -- I really couldn't get upset he was upset enough on his own.  I kept reminding him that hair grows back.

Archery 2014-2015

PConstance's first year on Central Magnet School's  archery team has been amazing.  

The middle school team were the state champs this year and they got to go to nationals in Louisville, KY.

The size of the range was amazing.  We brought Constance the day before so she could see the venue before she actually had to shoot so hopefully she wouldn't be overwhelmed.

John Kelly, Maddie and Constance (the 3 musketeers). These three have had so much fun this year.   They are always together.  

She didn't shoot her best but she did well and more important -- she had fun.

Central did well.  The middle school placed in the top 1/4 of middle school teams which means they qualify for worlds.  It has been an wonderful experience for Constance this year.

Motocross 2014

Mike and decided to surprise our kids and took the kids to see a motocross.

They loved it.  Jordan kept saying he wanted a motorcycle for Christmas.

Ice storm 2015

The forecast started early with us projected to get 5-7 inches of snow.  As you can see that forecast changed -- much to the disappointment of my kids and I.  We got ice.  Lots of ice.

The kids spent Sunday night at grandmas and they are still there.  The roads are bad and I haven't been able to make it out to get them.

The interstate has been closed down a lot and there have been quite a few bad wrecks.

Mike had to go to work today.  So depending on what I see with the roads, it might be tomorrow before we make it out to get them.

Plus, I'm not sure if I can make it up their driveway with the coating of ice.  

I absolutely love the beauty of an ice storm.  The damage isn't fun but it is beautiful!
