He's 3!!

My little boy is getting so big. It amazes me when I look back at pictures from when he was in the hospital and how small he was and then I look at him now. I can't believe how big my little man is getting.

Jordan is such a happy boy. Sometimes he busts up laughing even when I am being serious and trying to get him to stop doing something. He has such a BIG personality ... definitely nothing small about him.

He is such a blessing to our family!

Helicopters

I love the spring. After a nice cold winter, the warm up seemed to happen instantly ... so everything has seemed to bloom all at the same time. Everything has the nice green/yellow hue ... due to the nice layer of pollen. We have enjoyed the trees in bloom and the beautiful weather. Ever
It is fun to watch as the kids make all kinds of discoveries.

The newest discovery and source of enjoyment comes from the trees. I have showed my kids the "helicopters" or tree seeds. They come in all sizes. We found some the other day that were really small and then we have the big ones in our yard. Both Jordan and Constance love throwing the tree seeds in the air and watching them twirl to the ground. Jordan gets so excited whenever he sees the little "Helicopters".

Bubbles

Who would ever have thought you could have so much fun with something that costs only a dollar? We have recently purchased a few of the bubble wands. I quickly showed Jordan to spin around with the wand to get bubbles ... especially after seeing his face covered in bubbles from blowing on the wand.

Dominic hasn't quite caught on to the fun yet ... he just watches and smiles.

It was funny ... the other day when we were outside a bubble actually landed on Jordan and popped on the side of his little face. He quickly looked at me and told me "ow". I just had to laugh. Since when are bubbles hard or have sharp corners that poke you. Crazy kid. Definitely a joy to watch.

Dandelions

The weather has been so beautiful lately. We usually spend time each afternoon outside. The kids absolutely love it. When it is time to go inside ... I usually have two boys get very upset.

Dominic is such a content little boy. He just walks from place to place and plays. He has discovered sticks and you can usually find him carrying at least one around all the time. He has also discovered my daylilys ... unfortunately he likes to pull the leaves off of the plants. We are trying to discourage that.

The other afternoon I watched him sit along the side of the house and just play in a patch of dandelions. He would grab the stems and just pull them apart. I don't know how long he sat there but I enjoyed watching him.

Both Jordan and Dominic have loved spreading the seeds around. I am sure my neighbors don't get nearly as much pleasure out of it as my boys have especially when they watch the fruits of my boys labor appear in their yards.

Oh where, oh where has my little girl gone ...

Constance has been wanting to get her ears pierced for a long time. We have told her when she turns 8, then she could get her ears pierced if she wanted to.
You have to understand, Constance hates needles to the point of Mike has to go when she gets shots to help hold her still. I have been very open with her about how they do it ... I wanted to make sure she was ready.
She has been getting more excited as her birthday approaches (April). She keeps reminding me that we need to start buying earrings.
We just had spring break ... Mike and I were talking and decided it would be a good time to get them done. Constance was thrilled.

We went to a friend's store and she talked Constance through everything she was doing. The first ear went well. Constance pointed out that it hurt ... bless her heart. The second ear ... she was not looking forward too at all. She had a tight grip on Mike's hand and she was crying but she held so still. She did great!
It has been fun to watch her since. Before I couldn't get her to tuck her hair behind her ears ... now, you can't stop her. She likes how it looks with her ears pierced. It is fun to watch the change.

And He's Off ...

Crawling ... oh no, not anymore.
Dominic has decided he needs to keep up and crawling just isn't doing it. He is walking as much as possible.
The problem is he seems to think he needs to walk all the time and then he should be able to go where he wants to go. Just a bit of a problem with that ... he doesn't want to come inside.
He thinks he should be able to wonder around outside as much as he wants. He tries to keep up with Jordan ... he just doesn't quite have the speed Jordan has. But he sure does try. He is getting faster each and every day.

A Hat

There is something about Daddy's hat!

It is funny to watch ... both Jordan and Dominic see one of Mike's hats and they both seem to think they need it. We had to get another out because they started to "fight" over the one. They are still learning the concept of sharing.Dominic doesn't leave the hat on ... he just wants to have one too.Jordan on the other hand ... likes to wear it and then he also likes to look at himself in the mirror.
