Snowmen

These are the 3 snowmen we were able to build back in 2006. Obviously, we didn't have very much snow!
This year, with the snow we got, Constance started off wanting to make 3 snowmen like we had before (only bigger). She ended up changing her mind. We ended up making our family. The amazing thing ... we didn't even use all the snow in our front yard building the snowmen.


We invited our friends from down the street to come and have some fun with us. Tony brought his girls over with their sleds and ended up pulling the kids all over!

Snowflakes

The first time we actually had snow falling this year ... Constance was so excited. Jordan quickly caught on to excitement.
On a previous occasion they had called for snow at first they were calling for at least 6 inches ... then it went to 3 inches and then 1 inch ... we were so disappointed when all we had was a dusting of snow.
So here we were with another prediction of snow and they are saying we are going to have up to 6 inches. They cancelled school based on the predictions ... we were so excited to see the snow coming down. Constance couldn't wait to get her coat and stuff on and go outside. I bundled Jordan up too and let him come outside for a little while.
Constance showed Jordan how to catch snowflakes.

As the snow started to accumulate ... she even showed him how to eat snow. She did tell him not to eat yellow snow ... which meant absolutely nothing to him. Thankfully Jordan wasn't too interested in eating the snow ... so I didn't have to worry about color. He quickly caught on to throwing snow and Constance and Jordan had fun chasing each other all over the yard throwing snow at each other.
It was fun! The only thing missing was Mike ... he was at work until the next morning.

Snow Days

It has been a years since we have had any snow to talk about ... Until this year
This year we have actually had some snow to play in ... and it has been more than once.

We spent one snow day at my brother's farm and enjoyed the good sledding.

Dominic was nice and bundled up. He didn't like that too much!

Constance and Jordan sure did enjoy themselves. This was Jordan's first time sledding.

He loved it so much he didn't want to get off the sled at all. He thought he should be able to sit on the sled going down and going back up.

A Mirror

It is amazing to see what happens when you put a mirror in front of kids.

I did it!

Dominic is starting to get a little adventureous ... he is starting to take steps without holding on to anything. It is fun to watch. He gets so tickled! He has taken at least 5 steps on his own at a time.
My mom watched the boys for me the other morning so I could go to exercise ... The boys had been sick and I wanted to give them another day to make sure they were better before I took them to the nursery. Anyways, when I went to pick the boys up, Dominic saw me and walked from my dad to me.
The other day I was sitting in the chair and he walked from the couch to me ... about 5-6 steps.
Everytime I talk about Dominic and walking, I am quickly reminded by Constance "I'm the one who taught him."
I just have to smile and tell her "Thank you! You did such a good job."

A Friendly Game of Tennis

The other night after we got the boys in bed, Constance wanted to play some games with Mike and I on the Wii before bed. Ok ... I don't have a problem with that.
We played some tennis and some bowling. Then she wanted to do some of the "training". We showed her the training for Tennis where you practice hitting the ball as many times as you can.
Mike was doing the best ... Constance's response to this was telling Mike "Show-off!"
As Mike continued to do better ... Constance continued to inform him of things she thought were wrong. She informed him that a ball was out ... even though the game didn't think so. She continued to inform Mike that the ball had been out. Mike finally told her "evidently not, because I am still playing".
Both Mike and I were laughing ...
As we continued to play I jokingly told Constance she was showing off ... I was quickly informed "I'm not showing off. I am just trying my best."

My Name is "Dordan"!!

I have all kinds of little names I call my kids depending on the day and the moment ... it can be anything from
"stinker" ... "monkey" ... "smiles" ... "sunshine" ... etc.
Jordan has been the funniest little thing about it ... you just don't know how he is going to respond.
Lately when I ask him if he is my "little man"? He tells me "No, I Dordan." I have had the same response when I have called him "my Jordan Man", "my pumpkin pie", and "my big boy".
The other day my mom made the mistake of saying "Hi Peanut." Jordan told her no. She was quickly informed his name is "Dordan."
